- August 10, 1929 – Grover Cleveland Alexander pitches four innings of relief to beat his former Phillies teammates 11–9 in 11 innings — his final major-league win. He returned to the Phillies the next year but pitched only nine games before retiring.

- Sid Farrar (born 1859) – First baseman in the Phillies’ original 1883 infield, he held the job through 1890 and won a fielding title in 1886. He’s also remembered as the father of opera star Geraldine Farrar.
- Elmer Jacobs (born 1892) – Right-handed pitcher who spent parts of three seasons with the Phillies (1914, 1918–1919) during a 14-year career split across five clubs.
- Frank Welch (born 1897) – Outfielder who was a regular for the Philadelphia Athletics for eight seasons (1919–1926) before finishing his career with the Boston Red Sox in 1927.
- Jim Oglesby (born 1905) – First baseman whose entire big-league career was a three-game callup with the 1936 Philadelphia Athletics.
- Wilson Ramos (born 1987) – Veteran catcher acquired by the Phillies from Tampa Bay in a July 2018 trade; he manned the position in Philadelphia for the second half of that season before leaving as a free agent.
- Archie Bradley (born 1992) – Relief pitcher who signed a one-year deal with the Phillies in January 2021 and pitched out of the bullpen that season, part of a nine-year MLB career spent mostly with Arizona.
