- July 12, 1900 – The Phils are no-hit by Cincinnati’s Noodles Hahn, who wins 4-0. The Phillies managed four baserunners from two walks, one hit batter, and an error.
- July 12, 1906 – In a game versus the Cards in St. Louis, Sherry Magee steals four bases, setting a team record for a single game. Three of the steals came in the ninth inning, when he was hit by a pitch then stole second, third, and home. The Phillies lose anyway, 7-6.
- July 12, 1917 – Claimed future Hall-of-Famer Johnny Evers on waivers from the Boston Nationals.
- July 12, 1957 – Robin Roberts takes the loss against Chicago, giving up three home runs and bringing his career total to 280. It is the most home runs allowed in major league history, a title he will hold for more than 50 years.
- July 12, 1965 – Signed minor-league free agent Denny Doyle, who would play second base for the Phillies from 1970-1973.
- July 12, 1974 – Purchased Gene Garber from Kansas City. Garber would save 51 games over five seasons with the Phillies and play a total of 19 seasons in the majors.
- July 12, 1994 – Phillies reliever Doug Jones earns the win for manager Jim Fregosi and the National League, as the senior circuit prevails 8-7 in the All-Star Game at Pittsburgh. Mariano Duncan started the game at second base.
- July 12, 2000 – Traded Andy Ashby to the Braves for Bruce Chen and Jimmy Osting.

- Harry Pearce (born 1889) – Born in Philadelphia, Pearce played three seasons in the majors, all of them with the Phillies. The middle infielder hit .208 in 135 games with the Phils.
- Lee Meadows (born 1894) – The right-hander was acquired from the Cardinals during the 1919 season and spent five seasons with the Phillies, posting a 3.65 ERA.
- George Darrow (born 1903) – A left-hander who pitched in 17 MLB games, all for the Phillies in 1934, posting a 2-6 record with a 5.51 ERA.
- Al Glossop (born 1914) – Hit .225 as the second baseman with the 1942 season, his only year in Philadelphia.
- Johnny Wyrostek (born 1919) – Played five seasons in two different stints with the Phillies. Hit .275 as an outfielder in his time with Philadelphia.
- Wally Ritchie (born 1965) – Drafted by the Phillies in the fourth round of the 1985 Draft, Ritchie pitched in four seasons with the Phillies making 147 relief appearances with a 3.14 ERA.
- Howie Kendrick (born 1983) – A utility player who signed with the Phillies prior to the 2017 season and hit .340 in 39 games before being dealt to Washington. Is currently an assistant GM with the Phillies.
- JD Hammer (born 1994) – Pitched in 20 games for the 2019 and 2021 Phillies with a combined ERA of 4.38.
