Andrew Painter struggled with his control last week in Charlotte and the result was a loss to the Knights with Painter allowing four earned runs in four innings. In Tuesday’s start at home against the Worcester Red Sox, the control was back but Painter’s slider betrayed him and this time around it led to six earned runs in five innings to go with another loss. In those last two outings, Painter has allowed four home runs after allowing just one in his first 17 innings at Triple-A.
