Over the years, PhillyBaseball.News has grown into a home for in-depth coverage of the Phillies and their minor league system. That isn’t changing — not even a little. All of the reporting, analysis, and prospect coverage you’ve come to expect here will continue to be published on this site and will always remain free.

That said, I wanted to share some news about a new project I’m launching on Substack.

I have started a Substack called “Chuck’s Minor League Life.”

This Substack is designed to complement what I already do here, not replace it. Think of it as a more personal, behind-the-scenes look at the world of minor league baseball — the conversations, the observations that don’t always fit neatly into a traditional article format, and a behind the scenes approach to baseball coverage. It’s a space where I can write a little more freely, tell longer stories, and explore the human side of player development and life in the minors.

To be clear: nothing about PhillyBaseball.News is changing.
All regular coverage will continue right here. No articles are being moved behind a paywall. No content is being taken away. This site will always be free and accessible to everyone.

For now, “Chuck’s Minor League Life” is also completely free. Anyone who wants to subscribe can do so at no cost and receive posts directly in their inbox. Down the road, I do plan to offer paid subscription options for readers who want to support the work at a deeper level and receive additional content. When that time comes, I’ll be very transparent about what’s included and what’s still available for free.

I’ve always believed that minor league baseball deserves more attention than it gets — not just as a pipeline to the big leagues, but as a world of its own, filled with stories that matter. This Substack gives me another outlet to tell those stories while continuing to build and grow PhillyBaseball.News.

If you enjoy the coverage here and are interested in a more personal, long-form look at minor league life, I hope you’ll check out “Chuck’s Minor League Life” and consider subscribing.

As always, thank you for reading, for supporting independent baseball coverage, and for being part of this community.
