Mark August 13, 2026 on your calendar. The Phillies will be playing in Dyersville, Iowa on that date against the Minnesota Twins as Major League Baseball returns to The Field of Dreams to play a major league game. Major League Baseball held games there in 2021 and 2022, but has not been back since.

The game is not played on the actual field that was used in the Field of Dreams movie, but rather in a specially built ballpark next to the movie set which still has the field, farmhouse and other buildings all intact for tourists to see.

In a somewhat fitting sense, the game will be broadcast on Netflix, up until now, known primarily for streaming movies and TV shows. MLB and Netflix recently engaged in an agreement for a limited number of games to be broadcast by Netflix.

On their first trip to Iowa, MLB matched up the White Sox and Yankees and it was a huge hit with the largest viewing audience for a regular season game in 16 years. The game was also deemed the “Sports Event of the Year” by Sports Business Journal and FOX Sports won a Sports Emmy Award for the broadcast.

The game will be a home game on the schedule for the Twins. The Phillies will wrap up a game in St. Louis the day before the game and both the Twins and Phillies will be off the day after the game before playing two more games in Minnesota on August 15 and 16.
