Scouting Summary
Dante Nori is a young, left handed hitting outfielder who blends contact skills with above average speed and a patient approach at the plate. He projects more as a top of the order hitter than a power source right now and has quick feet and plays with intent on the bases which helps him create value even with modest slugging. His profile reads as a center fielder who can settle in an everyday corner outfield job as he fills out and refines his route taking and arm usage.
Nori grew up in Toronto and played high school baseball at Northville High School in Northville, Michigan where he emerged as a high school standout and committed to Mississippi State before turning pro. The Phillies selected him with the 27th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft and he signed with the club for roughly a $2.5 million bonus later that summer.
Minor League Performance and Counting Stats
Across his first two professional seasons in 2024 and 2025 Nori logged 139 minor league games and roughly 643 plate appearances. Nori hit .240 in 14 games with Clearwater in 2024 and spent most of 2025 with the Threshers before playing 11 games with Jersey Shore and five more with Reading, batting a combined .261/.361/.372/.513 between the three classifications. He showed very good baserunning output with 52 stolen bases in 2025. His power has been limited with just four home runs in the professional ranks. The season splits show steady contact with good walk totals and useful speed production.

The advanced numbers back up what you see when you watch him. His walk rate is strong relative to his peers and his strikeout rate is not excessive, a combination that gives him an above average on-base skill for a 21-year-old prospect. His career minor league BABIP sits at .306 which supports the idea that his batting average is driven by real contact ability and not luck. He tends to put the ball on the ground enough to keep pressure on defenses which is reflected in a modest ground ball to fly ball ratio. He does not produce a lot of isolated power yet so most of his value comes from getting on base and creating runs with speed and situational hitting.

Defensive Profile and Metrics
Nori is listed primarily as a center fielder who can also handle left field. Traditional defensive counts show regular outfield appearances but the defensive metrics for low minors are limited and inconsistent. Scouting observations point to him being a mobile outfielder with competent reads and next level instincts required to stick in center long term. His arm is adequate rather than electric so his best defensive path is via range and route efficiency rather than power throws.
Overall Projection and Notes for Development
Nori’s floor is a high contact, on base outfielder who uses speed to impact games. With added strength and more loft in his swing he could develop enough power to become a top of the order threat with occasional doubles and gap power. The main areas to watch are his approach with two strikes, how he adapts to higher velocity and better breaking stuff at Double-A and above, and whether his routes and arm can play at true center field in the long run. For now he offers a compelling mix of contact, plate discipline, and baserunning that makes him one of the Phillies’ more intriguing youth movement pieces.
The Phillies sent Nori to the Arizona Fall League, but his playing time has been limited by a nagging injury that he suffered late in the season.
