Lehigh Valley IronPigs

The IronPigs staged a thrilling comeback to defeat the Norfolk Tides 7–6 at Coca-Cola Park, marking their fourth straight win and first home series victory since late May. The game began with Norfolk jumping out to a 5–1 lead, highlighted by a three-run homer from former IronPig Vimael Machín and RBI hits from Samuel Basallo and Jordyn Adams. Lehigh Valley chipped away at the deficit in the fifth when Cal Stevenson singled home a run and later scored on a Garrett Stubbs double. In the sixth, Rafael Lantigua tied the game with a two-run double, but Basallo responded with a solo homer in the seventh to retake the lead for Norfolk.

The IronPigs’ resilience showed again in the eighth. After three consecutive two-out walks, Keaton Anthony delivered the decisive blow – a two-run single that gave Lehigh Valley its first lead of the night. Guillo Zuñiga closed out the ninth with two strikeouts to earn his third save of the season. Nolan Hoffman picked up the win with a scoreless eighth, working around a leadoff triple. Offensively, Stevenson and Stubbs each had multi-hit games, while Anthony’s clutch hit capped a gritty team effort.

Reading Fightin Phils

Reading rallied late to beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 6–3, overcoming an early 3–0 deficit. Starter Estibenzon Jimenez was sharp through the first three innings, retiring the side in order twice and striking out eight over six innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits but kept Reading in the game. The offense came alive in the sixth when Aidan Miller doubled – his first hit since July 13 – and later scored on a Hendry Mendez grounder that snuck past the second baseman. Paul McIntosh followed with an RBI double to cut the deficit to one.

In the seventh, Nick Dunn tied the game with a solo homer, and Carson DeMartini gave Reading the lead with a sacrifice fly. Jack Dallas earned the win with two scoreless innings, as he and Hunter Parsons combined to retire 10 straight batters. Alex Binelas added an RBI single in the eighth to pad the lead, and Andrew Bechtold secured the save. Miller reached base twice and scored a pair of runs, while Dunn and McIntosh provided key extra-base hits in the comeback.

Jersey Shore BlueClaws

The BlueClaws dropped a 5–3 decision to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, snapping their two-game win streak. Starter Reese Dutton pitched five innings, allowing four runs – three earned – on seven hits while striking out four. Defensive miscues hurt Jersey Shore early, with errors by Devin Saltiban and Raylin Heredia contributing to Wilmington’s three-run first inning. Dutton settled in after that, but the damage was done.

Offensively, the BlueClaws got on the board in the fourth when Aroon Escobar doubled and scored on a Heredia RBI single. Saltiban redeemed himself with a solo homer in the sixth and Eduardo Tait added an RBI single in the eighth to make it a two-run game. Saul Teran pitched a scoreless ninth to keep the deficit manageable, but the offense couldn’t mount a final rally. Despite the loss, Escobar and Saltiban continued their strong series, and Heredia reached base twice.

Clearwater Threshers

Clearwater blanked the Tampa Tarpons 5–0 in a rain-shortened seven-inning game, thanks to a five-run fifth inning and dominant pitching. Starter Luke Gabrysh tossed four shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out four. Ryan Dromboski earned the win with three hitless innings in relief, striking out two and walking one. The combined one-hitter was Clearwater’s best pitching performance of the season.

The offense broke through in the fifth after a walk and single set the stage. Raider Tello laid down a bunt that led to a throwing error, scoring the first run. Dante Nori walked to load the bases, and after two outs, Trent Farquhar drew a walk to make it 2–0. Alirio Ferrebus then cleared the bases with a three-run double off the left-field wall, giving Clearwater a commanding lead. Luke Davis recorded his first hit as a Thresher in the rally, and Ferrebus notched his second three-RBI game of the season against Tampa. The win marked Clearwater’s fifth shutout of the year and improved their record to 47–45.
