Lehigh Valley IronPigs

The IronPigs erupted for a season-high 14 runs in a 14–6 win over the Norfolk Tides at Coca-Cola Park. Despite falling behind 4–1 early, Lehigh Valley’s offense came alive with a barrage of home runs and clutch hitting. Justin Crawford set the tone with a leadoff homer in the first, his third of the season. Rafael Lantigua followed with a two-run blast in the fourth to cut the deficit to one. In the fifth, Gabriel Rincones Jr. launched a two-run homer to give the IronPigs the lead, and Óscar Mercado immediately followed with a solo shot to go back-to-back.

Mercado continued his offensive tear with RBI singles in the seventh and eighth innings, finishing with four RBIs. Garrett Stubbs added a two-run single in the eighth, and Rincones Jr. chipped in with an RBI double to cap the scoring. The IronPigs totaled 14 hits, including four homers and five extra-base hits.

On the mound, Nicholas Padilla earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief, striking out two and allowing just one hit. The bullpen combined for six innings of one-run ball after starter Joe Gatto struggled early. The win marked Lehigh Valley’s second straight and improved their record to 57–39.

Reading Fightin Phils

Reading was shut out 7–0 by the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, managing just five hits and failing to capitalize on early scoring chances. Jean Cabrera started for the Fightins and pitched well through three innings, retiring the side in order twice. He allowed a solo homer in the fourth and exited after six innings, having struck out five and walked none. Despite trailing 2–0 when he left, Cabrera’s outing was one of his most efficient of the season.

Offensively, Felix Reyes was the lone bright spot, collecting two hits including a double. Hendry Mendez and Caleb Ricketts reached base in the fourth, but a baserunning error cost Reading a run. The team failed to score with runners in scoring position multiple times, popping up in key moments.

Andrew Walling relieved Cabrera and allowed inherited runners to score, widening the gap. Binghamton added three more in the ninth, but Reading’s offense never mounted a rally. The loss dropped the Fightins to 36–54.

Jersey Shore BlueClaws

Jersey Shore fell 11–1 to Wilmington in a lopsided contest at ShoreTown Ballpark. Devin Saltiban provided the only offense with a leadoff home run in the first inning, his third of the season and second leadoff blast. The BlueClaws managed just four hits and were held scoreless after the first.

Starter Alex McFarlane was sharp early, tossing three perfect innings before running into trouble in the fourth. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, taking the loss. The bullpen struggled to contain Wilmington’s offense, which scored nine runs over the final four innings.

Offensively, Eduardo Tait and Aroon Escobar each singled, and Kehden Hettiger reached base twice. However, Jersey Shore failed to string together hits and left runners stranded. The loss snapped a three-game win streak and dropped the BlueClaws to 36–52.

Clearwater Threshers

Clearwater defeated Bradenton 5–2 in a rain-delayed game at BayCare Ballpark. Dante Nori starred with a solo homer in the third and a two-run triple in the fifth, driving in three runs. Alirio Ferrebus and Cole Roberts each singled and scored, while John Spikerman added an RBI single to extend the lead.

Starter Ryan Degges pitched three shutout innings, allowing just one hit. Zack Tukis earned the win despite surrendering two runs in the fourth. Kevin Warunek was dominant in relief, striking out six over three scoreless innings. Titan Kennedy-Hayes closed it out with a two-strikeout ninth for his seventh save.

The Threshers totaled eight hits, with Nori’s extra-base power leading the way. Ferrebus continued his hot streak with two hits, and Tello added a double. The win improved Clearwater’s record to 46–45.
