While he is just 27-years-old, pitcher Adam Seminaris is pretty well traveled. Since being drafted by the Angels in 2020, he was traded to Milwaukee in the Hunter Renfroe trade three years ago. After that, he was released by the Brewers after the 2024 season and signed a one-year deal with Seattle last January. Now, the lefty starter/reliever has signed with the Phillies for the 2026 season.

Seminaris moved quickly early in his career when he reached Triple-A for nine starts in 2022. Since then he has made just one start at Triple-A and has spent the bulk of his career, including each of the past two seasons, at Double-A for both the Brewers and Mariners. After struggling at Double-A Biloxi in 2024 he was moved to the pen and finished with 10 starts and 15 relief appearances that resulted in a 6.15 ERA. Last season Seminaris rebounded with Double-A Arkansas and made 22 starts and 2 relief appearances to go 7-7, 3.02. In 125.1 innings, Seminaris struck out 105 batters while walking 36.

In 2023, Seminaris missed time while he was on the 60-day IL with an undisclosed injury, which could help explain some of his regression. It’s likely that the Phillies will put him at Triple-A Lehigh Valley next season and use him in the starting rotation.
