The Arizona Fall League played their annual Fall Stars Game Sunday night at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. The American League picked up their third straight victory with a walk-off sacrifice fly by White Sox prospect Sam Antonacci in the bottom of the ninth inning. Antonacci drove in Ryan Lasko (Athletics), who led off the inning with a walk, moved to second on a base-hit and went to third on a walk that loaded the bases for Antonacci.
Angels outfield prospect Raudi Rodriguez had two singles and a walk, and drove in two runs to garner the game’s MVP Award which made him the first Angels prospect to win the award.
The lone member of the Phillies to play in the game was pitcher Jack Dallas. The right-hander recorded two strikeouts in his inning of work, but unfortunately, also gave up two hits and an earned run in the outing.
Dariel Fregio (Tigers) was the winning pitcher even though he pitched just 0.2 innings and Darlin Saladin (Cardinals) took the loss.
