The expected effects of Hurricane Priscilla, which is striking Southern California and the west coast of Mexico, prompted Major League Baseball to cancel Saturday and Sunday’s Arizona Fall League (AFL) schedule. Saturday was supposed to be a triple-header featuring all six AFL teams at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tucson. Sunday had games scheduled at three separate sites in Arizona.

With Mondays being a scheduled day off in the AFL, the season will resume on Tuesday. The league will work to make up the games that were wiped out this weekend, if possible. The Surprise Saguaros, the team holding prospects from the Phillies also had their Friday game postponed.

The Saguaros (3-0) are the only remaining undefeated team in the AFL with Peoria (3-1) just a half game behind. Following in the standings are Scottsdale (2-2), Glendale (1-2), Mesa (1-3), and Salt River (1-3).
