Lehigh Valley IronPigs
Lehigh Valley defeated the Toledo Mud Hens 10–3 at Coca-Cola Park, extending their win streak to six games. After falling behind 3-0, the IronPigs broke through with a four-run fifth, highlighted by a two-run single from Donovan Walton. They added six more runs over the next three innings, finishing with 12 hits and drawing nine walks. Gabriel Rincones Jr. went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Walton, Johan Rojas, and Brewer Hicklen each added two hits. Hicklen hit his 13th home run of the season – a two-run shot – in the seventh.
On the mound, starter Mitch Neunborn had to fight his way through 4.1 innings and finished allowing three earned runs on four hits and four walks issued. Ryan Cusick (2-0) got the win with 1.2 innings of perfect baseball, striking out four batters along the way. Devin Sweet, Daniel Harper, and Nolan Hoffman each provided a shutout inning of relief to give the bullpen 4.2 innings of shutout pitching, issuing one hit and one walk while striking out eight.
Reading Fightin Phils
Reading fell 2–1 to the Hartford Yard Goats at Dunkin’ Park. Aidan Miller opened the game with a leadoff home run, his 13th of the season, but the Fightins were held scoreless the rest of the way. They managed just six hits and struck out 11 times against Hartford’s pitching staff. Felix Reyes had a single and a double and Caleb Ricketts also picked up two hits in the game for the Fightins.
Estibenzon Jimenez (3-4) took the loss, but deserved a better outcome. Jimenez lasted six innings and gave up seven hits but did not walk a batter. He allowed both runs that Hartford scored in the game, coming on two solo home runs. Eiberson Castellano and Tommy McCollum covered the final two innings without allowing a run.
Jersey Shore BlueClaws
Jersey Shore edged the Brooklyn Cyclones 4-3 Tuesday night. The ‘Claws opened the scoring in the bottom of the first on RBI singles from John Spikerman and Raylin Heredia for a 2-0 lead. Zach Arnold added an RBI single in the sixth to drive in Jose Colmenares, who had double to open the inning and an errant pickoff throw allowed an insurance run to cross the plate. Heredia, Colmenares, and Devin Saltiban all had two-hit games for Jersey Shore.
Reese Dutton started and threw five innings, allowing two runs – one earned – on three hits and three walks. He also struck out three batters. Wesley Moore, Erik Ritchie, and Casey Steward all provided an inning of shutout relief. Moore (1-4) was credited with the win.
Clearwater Threshers
Clearwater edged the Tampa Tarpons 6–5 in 10 innings at BayCare Ballpark. The Threshers built a 4–1 lead through three innings, with a three-run third sparked by a two-run double from Jonathan Hogart. Tampa rallied to tie the game in the ninth, but Clearwater walked it off in the 10th on a sacrifice fly from Nolan Beltran.
Luis Gonzalez started and gave the Threshers four innings, allowing one run. Eli Trop shutout Tampa for 1.2 innings and Danyony Pulido (5-1) gave Clearwater 1.1 innings of shutout relief to record the win.
