Lehigh Valley IronPigs
The IronPigs’ scheduled game against the Omaha Storm Chasers on August 31, 2025, was cancelled due to persistent rain in Papillion, Nebraska. This followed a rain-shortened 7–6 win for Lehigh Valley the previous night. The IronPigs return home to host the Toledo Mud Hens on September 2nd.
Reading Fightin Phils
The Reading Fightins dropped the finale of their penultimate home series of the season to Chesapeake, falling 8-3. The Baysox pushed their lead to 5-0 in the top of the fourth before Reading put three runs on the board in the bottom of the inning. Carson DeMartini tripled with one out and then scored on a single by Felix Reyes. The Fightins then took advantage of a bases loaded wild pitch and a bases loaded walk to Nick Dunn to make it a 5-3 game. Chesapeake scored a run in the top of the fifth and then put the game away with two more in the eighth.
Former major leaguer Matt Manning made his first appearance in the Phillies organization when he took to the mound to start the game and allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over two innings. Manning struck out five batters in the outing and threw 57 pitches, 36 for strikes. Gabriel Barbosa took over and gave up five runs in two innings and later in the game, John McMillon gave up two runs in two innings of work. Gunner Mayer threw two shutout innings and Jaydenn Estanista provided one inning of scoreless relief.
Jersey Shore BlueClaws
Jersey Shore closed out their road schedule with a dominant 6–0 win over the Aberdeen IronBirds. Ryan Dromboski delivered a standout performance, tossing six scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and two walks, and striking out six. The bullpen trio of Cristhian Tortosa, Titan Kennedy-Hayes, and Saul Teran each contributed a scoreless frame to preserve the shutout.
Offensively, Jose Colmenares opened the scoring with an RBI single in the third. The BlueClaws broke the game open in the sixth with four runs, including a two-run homer by Aroon Escobar, his second home run of the series. Dante Nori added an RBI single and finished the week 11-for-24 (.458) with six walks and 11 stolen bases. Kodey Shojinaga reached base three times and scored twice.
The BlueClaws return home Tuesday to begin their final series of the season against Brooklyn.
Clearwater Threshers
Clearwater dropped both games of a doubleheader to the Daytona Tortugas on Sunday. In Game 1, the Threshers fell 4–2. Game 2 was a pitchers’ duel, ending in a 1–0 loss. Across both contests, Clearwater’s offense was stifled, managing just two runs total on nine combined hits. Jonathan Hogart went 3-for-4 in the first game with a double and a run scored for the Threshers.
The pitching staff held Daytona to one run in the nightcap, but the lone tally in the second inning proved decisive. Zuher Yousuf (2-1, 2.04) allowed the only run in the nightcap and suffered a hard-luck loss, going 4.1 innings, striking out five. Adilson Peralta got a groundball to end a runner on third, two out jam in the fifth before before Keegan Batka threw a clean sixth inning.
The Threshers will look to rebound in their next series as they continue their Florida State League campaign with a home series against the Tampa Tarpons. Even with the pair of losses, Clearwater has a magic number of four to clinch a playoff spot.
