Lehigh Valley IronPigs

The IronPigs secured a 3-0 shutout victory over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at Coca-Cola Park, marking their fourth shutout of the season. The pitching staff was stellar, with Adonis Medina starting and tossing 4.2 innings of scoreless ball, allowing four hits and striking out five. Ryan Cusick entered with the bases loaded and escaped the jam, earning the win with 1.1 innings of one-hit relief and three strikeouts. Lucas Sims contributed a clean seventh, and Nolan Hoffman closed the door with a six-out save, striking out four and allowing just one hit.

Offensively, the IronPigs broke a scoreless tie in the sixth when Justin Crawford singled and scored on Johan Rojas’s RBI double. Rafael Lantigua added insurance in the seventh with a two-run homer, his fifth of the season. The team showed timely hitting and capitalized on RailRiders’ missed opportunities, stranding 11 runners. The IronPigs improved to 65-47 on the season and continue to battle for playoff positioning in the International League.

Reading Fightin Phils

Reading exploded for a 16-1 rout over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Delta Dental Stadium. After falling behind 1-0 in the first, the Fightins responded with 15 unanswered runs. Chuck King delivered a quality start, going six innings and allowing just one run while striking out one. The bullpen trio of Jack Dallas, Gunner Mayer, and John McMillon combined for three scoreless innings to preserve the blowout.

The offense was relentless, with Nick Dunn launching a two-run homer in the seventh to extend the lead to 8-1. Reading piled on nine more runs in the final three innings, capitalizing on errors and timely hitting. The team collected 22 hits, overwhelming the Fisher Cats’ pitching staff. Dunn’s homer was his sixth of the season, and the team’s aggressive baserunning and situational hitting were key to the lopsided win. Reading improved to 41-63 and showed flashes of dominance despite their overall record.

Jersey Shore BlueClaws

The BlueClaws saw their seven-game win streak snapped in a dramatic 8-5 extra-inning loss to the Hub City Spartanburgers at ShoreTown Ballpark. Despite the defeat, Jersey Shore showcased offensive firepower and resilience. Devin Saltiban hit a two-run homer in the third, his fifth of the season, and Diego Gonzalez added a three-run blast in the seventh, his first with the BlueClaws.

Pitching was a mixed bag. Starter Casey Steward allowed one unearned run over two innings. Ryan Dromboski gave up two runs in 3.2 innings in his debut, while Andrew Baker impressed with six strikeouts over two innings of relief. Titan Kennedy-Hayes struggled in the tenth, walking in a run and allowing two more on a single and groundout. Gonzalez and Saltiban each had two hits, and the team showed grit, tying the game twice before falling in extras. Jersey Shore dropped to 48-55 but remains competitive in the South Atlantic League.

Clearwater Threshers

Clearwater extended their win streak to six games with a 7-4 victory over the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. Raider Tello led the charge, setting career highs with four hits and three RBIs. He scored the game’s first run in the third and added a clutch two-run single in the fifth. Dante Nori contributed with an RBI single in the ninth, extending his hit streak to seven games.

Camron Hill started and tossed four shutout innings, striking out five. Eli Trop struggled in relief, allowing three runs without recording an out, but A.J. Wilson stabilized the game with three strong innings, earning the win. Orlando Gonzalez closed with two perfect innings for the save. The Threshers’ offense was opportunistic, scoring on errors and wild pitches, and their pitching staff held Fort Myers to just four runs despite some turbulence.
