Lehigh Valley IronPigs
Lehigh Valley snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2–0 shutout over the Syracuse Mets. Starter Mick Abel was electric, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning and finishing with six scoreless frames. He allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out four on 64 pitches. Josh Walker followed with a dominant seventh, striking out the side on 14 pitches. In the eighth, Rafael Lantigua scored on a wild pitch, and Rodolfo Castro crushed a 402-foot solo homer to center field, his ninth of the season. Devin Sweet and Michael Mercado closed out the final two innings, with Mercado earning his third save despite allowing two singles and a wild pitch. The IronPigs managed six hits and left four runners on base, but their pitching staff was the story, combining for their third shutout of the season.

Reading Fightin Phils
Reading split a doubleheader against the Chesapeake Baysox. In Game 1, they were blanked 8–0. Starter Koyo Aoyagi allowed five runs (three earned) over three innings, and Nelson Alvarez gave up three more in relief. The offense was limited to four hits and struck out six times. Game 2 was a complete turnaround. Griff McGarry pitched four innings of one-run ball with six strikeouts, and Andrew Walling added two scoreless frames. The offense exploded for nine runs, highlighted by Cade Fergus’ grand slam—his second of the season. Alex Binelas drove in two with a single, and Nick Dunn added an RBI double. Leandro Pineda also contributed a two-run double. Reading’s aggressive approach paid off, with six runs scored in the fifth inning alone.

Jersey Shore BlueClaws
Jersey Shore split their doubleheader with Aberdeen. In Game 1, Alex McFarlane was dominant again, tossing five scoreless innings with nine strikeouts and no walks. He allowed just three hits and earned his second straight win. The BlueClaws scored twice in the fourth on an RBI single by Avery Owusu-Asiedu and a fielder’s choice groundout from Nick Biddison. Andrew Baker closed out the final two innings for his first career save. Game 2 was a slugfest, with Aberdeen rallying for an 8–7 win. Jersey Shore scored four runs in the third, including a sac fly from Elio Prado and an RBI single by Jordan Dissin. Owusu-Asiedu had three hits and drove in a run, while Dissin added two hits and two RBIs. Starter Casey Steward allowed seven runs over four innings, and the bullpen couldn’t hold off Aberdeen’s late surge. Despite the loss, Owusu-Asiedu continued his torrid July, now batting .433 for the month.

Clearwater Threshers
Clearwater outlasted Fort Myers 7–4 in a back-and-forth contest. Guissepe Velasquez pitched five strong innings, allowing one run and retiring the final seven batters he faced. Dante Nori was the offensive catalyst, doubling twice and launching a two-out homer in the eighth—his third of the season. Eduardo Tait added two RBIs, including a go-ahead double in the seventh. John Spikerman scored twice and doubled, while Alirio Ferrebus chipped in with an RBI single. The bullpen was shaky early, issuing multiple walks, but Luis Avila and Tyler Stasiowski settled things down late. Clearwater’s aggressive baserunning and timely hitting helped them overcome three errors and secure the win.
