Reading Fightin Phils – Game 1
Reading dropped the first game of a doubleheader 9–4 to the Somerset Patriots. The Fightins struggled to contain Somerset’s offense, which saw eight of nine batters record hits and six drive in runs. Reading’s pitching faltered early, and the offense couldn’t keep pace despite a few bright spots. Jose Rodriguez, Dylan Campbell, and Alex Binelas each contributed hits, and Carson DeMartini added an RBI. The bullpen was unable to stem the tide, and Somerset’s Roc Riggio and Dylan Jasso powered the Patriots with multi-hit games and run production.

Reading Fightin Phils – Game 2
In the nightcap, Reading fell 8–5, completing the sweep for Somerset. The Fightins showed more offensive life, with multiple players reaching base and scoring. However, Somerset’s bullpen dominated late, striking out five consecutive batters between the fifth and seventh innings. Reading’s pitching staff allowed early damage, and the Patriots capitalized with home runs from Roc Riggio and Rafael Flores. Despite the loss, Reading’s lineup showed flashes of resilience, and the team continues to develop its young core.
